a Data Engineer at Swiss National Bank in Zürich.
My previous experience.
- I hold a PhD from ETH Zürich. There, I developed mathematical bounds for the approximation capabilities of recurrent neural networks at the Chair for Mathematical Information Science under the supervision of Prof. Helmut Bölcskei.
- I hold a Master of Science degree in Data Science from ETH Zürich and won the Willi Studer Prize for the best GPA.
- During my studies, I did a Machine Learning Internship at DataHow, where I worked on predicting biological cell culture processes.
- Additionally, I worked as a Software Developer at the Chair for System Design. Here, I helped develop a system for knowledge extraction from documents regarding Swiss parliamentary proceedings.
- During the COVID pandemic, I developed klassenteiler.de, a web-app to optimally split school classes. It leverages client-side encryption and pseudonymization to ensure user privacy. The app was featured on NDR and used by over 5000 students.
